A Pre-Start Health and Safety Review (PSR) is required under Ontario Regulation 851 Section 7 before certain industrial equipment goes into service. Racking-related triggers include rack-supported structures, mezzanines, and certain conveyors integrated with racking.
PSR isn't a single sign-off — it's a coordinated review involving a P.Eng (structural + mechanical) and an Occupational Hygienist (workplace exposures, ventilation, ergonomics). Most general contractors don't run this coordination well. We do.
Our PSR scope: we identify whether your project triggers PSR, engage our P.Eng + Hygienist partners under signed engagement, coordinate the joint site visit, compile findings, and deliver the consolidated PSR report ready to file with your records. Worker can't operate the equipment until the PSR is signed — we don't let that be the constraint that delays your launch.
