We quote most racking removals from photos. When the photos show the right things, the written quote comes back within one business day, and it holds for 14 days. When they don't, we have to ask, and a day goes by. This is the list we work from.
The five photos
- Stand at the end of the aisle and photograph the whole run, top beam to floor. One photo per row is plenty.
- Photograph a frame label. Most uprights carry a sticker or a stamp near the bottom with the maker's name, which tells us the brand and often the size.
- Get a close-up of a beam end, where the beam meets the upright. The connector shape is how we tell Redirack from other brands.
- Photograph a base plate, the foot of an upright, so we can see how it is anchored to the floor.
- Show any damage: bent uprights, crushed beams or missing parts. Damage changes how we take it down, so it is better to know up front.
Text them to us or add them to the quote form. Photos are optional to send the form, but they are what make the quote fast.
The four facts
- The date the space has to be empty. We plan the crew backwards from it.
- The city or postal code.
- Whether it is standing or already down. Racking that is still up and loaded needs the product off first.
- How the crew gets in: dock door, ground-level door, upper floor or freight elevator, and any building rules on hours.
What the quote covers
The written quote lists the scope, the crew days and your date. Redirack you don't need to sell: no labour charge if we keep it. Other brands are quoted from your photos. If you want to sell, we make an offer on anything we can resell. Anchors are cut flush with the floor as standard.
If something in the written scope is missed, we come back within two business days to finish it.
