A lot of the calls we get start the same way: the lease ends in a few weeks and the racking is still standing. Four weeks is usually enough. The date that matters is the booking date, not the lease date.
How the count works
We count in business days, backwards from the crew's last day, which is the business day before the space has to be empty. Weekends and Ontario holidays don't count.
- Booked 10 business days or more before the crew's last day, your date is held.
- Inside 10 business days there is still no rush charge. Send photos and we answer yes or no within one business day.
The date check does this count for you. Type the date the space has to be empty and it shows the last day to book.
What to do this week
- Read the lease clause on racking, anchors and the floor. Most ask for the racking out and the floor clear.
- Send photos of the whole run, a frame label, a beam end and a base plate. Our photo list has the details.
- Ask the building about dock times, freight elevator bookings and sign-in rules. They go into the crew plan.
- Plan the last shipping day so the product is off the racks before the crew's first day.
On the last day
Anchors are cut flush with the floor as standard. Walk the floor with us when we finish. If something in the written scope was missed, we come back within two business days.
Redirack you don't need to sell: no labour charge if we keep it. That can take a real bite out of the cost of the move.
Next step
Run your date through the date check, then send photos for a quote.
Send a few photos. A written quote or offer comes back within one business day.
